What is the Certified enTrusted Witness (CeW) Programme?
The programme qualifies, trains and certifies individuals of good standing in the community to serve as the witness to a transaction. The seller, buyer, landlord and/or tenant who wish to enter into a transaction with enTrust & Title as a neutral third party, will be able execute their documents electronically, produce their identification, legal documents and biometrically endorse them remotely.
The CeW can initiate or process transactions from anywhere in the world by biometrically authenticating participants of the agreement. The parties involved need not be physically in the same location, city or even the country where the property is located.
Who can become a CeW?
A CeW may be a reputed or licensed individual of the real estate, financial or legal community. The CeW will have to be a respectful, mature, and credible individual with pristine character and qualities which embody uncompromising integrity to handle the required fiduciary duties. They will also be required to maintain on an ongoing basis a high standard of ethics so that he or she can be entrusted with confidentiality, and personal and financial information of the clients.
How do I become a CeW?
To qualify, the individual will need to apply, successfully complete the initial background and routine checks, participate and pass a mandatory training course and sign a legally binding agreement.
CeW Identity?
In order for consumers to recognise their elevated status, the CeW will be provided with:
- A free listing in the CeW directory
- The Certified enTrusted Witness certificate
- The CeW lapel pin
- An Operating Manual
- CeW Kit that will include hardware equipment, software, window decals and a carrying case
